Natalie Gumede
Natalie Gumede is known for playing Kirsty Soames in the ITV soap opera, Coronation Street (2011 to 2013). She previously played China in BBC Three comedy show Ideal. Natalie has also appeared in The Persuasionists, Emmerdale and Doctor Who among other television shows. Gumede was also runner-up in the 2013 series of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. From 2017 to 2019, Gumede began appearing in Netflix original Free Rein as Maggie Steel Phillips. She is a hard working actress and public speaker.
Natalie Gumede’s Big Break
Natalie Gumede first came to prominence in an award winning storyline in Coronation Street, playing Kirsty Soames, the violent partner to the much loved Tyrone Dobbs. Across 2012-2013, she was nominated for the National Television Awards and TV Choice Awards. She won British Soap Awards for Best Newcomer, Villain of the Year, and Best Dramatic Performance.
Strictly Come Dancing
Immediately after, Natalie finished runner up in the 2013 season of Strictly Come Dancing, followed by a national arena tour. She also presented awards at the BAFTA Children’s Awards 2013, The TV Choice Awards 2014, and The NTA’s 2015.
Since then, Natalie Gumede has starred in the Doctor Who Christmas Special, Jekyll and Hyde for ITV, the Emmy winning children’s show ‘Free Rein’ for Netflix, and DC’s ‘Titans’ for Netflix and HBO Max, amongst others. Natalie can currently be seen in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming Christmas film for 2022, ‘Your Christmas Or Mine.’

As a public speaker at events, Natalie has 20 years of experience to share on some of the nation’s favourite shows. She also understands the importance of resilience, self motivation and discipline as an actor, which has great crossover to the world of business. Additionally, Natalie is a qualified yoga teacher and is very comfortable in the wellness and mental health space.
