Hire Kenny Dalglish
One of the greatest players in the history of football, Kenny Dalglish is a legend at Celtic, Scotland, Blackburn Rovers and Liverpool. He was the IOC European Footballer of the Season, a Ballon D’or Runner Up and FWA Tribute Award recipient in his playing days, and has since been recognised in the FIFA 100, which is a list devised by Pelé of the greatest living footballers, as well as the Scottish, English and European Halls of Fame.
Throughout his 22-year career as a footballer, Kenny Dalglish made a total of 882 appearances and scored 336 goals, 230 of them in the league. Among the teams he has seen huge success with are Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool and Celtic, both as a player and a manager. And internationally, Kenny stands way above anyone else as Scotland’s most capped player of all time (he has 102).
Kenny Dalglish: Player Highlights
When he was playing for Celtic, this motivational speaker won the Scottish Top Division four times, the Scottish League Cup once and the Scottish Cup four times. When he was at Liverpool as a player, Dalglish was instrumental in winning seven FA Charity Shields, six Football League first division titles, four League Cups, three European Cups, two FA Cups, and one UEFA Super Cup. After becoming player-manager, the canny Scot helped Liverpool win the first division title another three times as well as four Charity Shields and two FA Cups.
Kenny Dalglish: Football Manager
Moving into football management full-time, Dalglish took over at the second division club Blackburn Rovers in 1991 and by 1995 they had won the Premier League, coming second the year before. The only other times Blackburn had won the top division title were in 1912 and 1914. This is a classic example of the magic touch of Kenny Dalglish.
After leaving Blackburn, Kenny went on to manage Newcastle United between 1997 and 1998, taking them to runners-up in the Premier League. He then went further north to manage Celtic in 2000 but then took a 10-year break before coming back to Liverpool as full-time coach. Two years later, Dalglish became a non-executive director of the club.
As a football manager Kenny Dalglish also goes down in history, having won the First Division title with Liverpool on three occasions and the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers, a season which also saw him presented with the Premier League Manager of the Season award.
TV Punditry
At the same time, he began to appear on TV as a football pundit, offering his insight into the world of football and won even more respect for his forthright and well-informed views. This has helped to make him an extremely popular motivational speaker.
