Scottish comedian and impressionist, Geoff Boyz has been a top act on the comedy circuit for several years. He made his mark at the Edinburgh Festival in the nineties and quickly became a charismatic performer in the leading comedy clubs with routines based around everyday life and his ability for mimicry. Geoff is always in demand for corporate events, hosting or pure stand up.
Geoff Boyz first made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe back in the 90s, where he hosted Best of Scottish Comedy. He followed that up with his solo stand-up show, Why?, which was a huge hit. He was a regular compere for The Best of the Fest at the 1997 Festival, and the following year his solo show Noise and other announcements had a successful run at The Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh.
Geoff Boyz: Stand-Up Comedy
Since then, he has continued to be in high demand on the stand-up and corporate circuits. In recent years, Geoff has toured in Australia, playing in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. He was one of the first comedians to perform in China and has also played in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai, as well as at Parker’s Comedy & Jive in South Africa. When he’s not travelling the world or performing up and down the UK, Geoff performs on cruise ships in front of thousands of people.
TV Work
Geoff has worked widely across TV. He was the face of various TV commercials, such as Tennent’s Lager. He has also worked as a stand-up and studio host for shows including Dead Ringers, This Morning, They Think It’s All Over, Truth or Dare and Live at the Comedy Store, and has performed on Live at Jongleurs and Talking Telephone Numbers. He also voiced the character of Kickstart the Dog in the pilot animation TV series, Ogri.
On radio, he has appeared on shows such as The Live Stand Up Show and Fantastic Voyage, as well as Colin (BBC Radio 2), which he also co-wrote.
On television, he has been featured in Comedy Rules (STV), Pebble Mill (BBC One), Best of Scottish Comedy (STV), Talking Telephone Numbers (ITV), Auntie’s Sporting Bloomers (BBC), the sci-fi series Space Cadets (Channel 4), A Game of Two Halves (STV), Live at the Comedy Store (Channel 5) and as a presenter on This Morning (ITV). More recently, he appeared in Only an Excuse (BBC Scotland), Caledonia MacBrains (BBC Scotland) and Take the Mike (ITV), giving advice to young hopeful comedians.
Geoff has also worked as a warm-up for television. Shows include They Think It’s All Over (BBC One), Dead Ringers (BBC Two), Jack Dee (BBC One) and Mr Charity (BBC One).
Geoff has guested on numerous radio shows. He also featured on Gloria Upstaged and appeared in two series of Red Devils and Fantastic Voyage (all for BBC Radio). He co-wrote and starred in the BBC Radio 5 series Colin and was the hit act on Radio 2’s The Stand Up Show.

Corporate Comedy
Geoff continues to be in demand on the corporate circuit and performed at the Scottish Sports Personality of the Year Awards. He recently undertook a new marketing campaign for Whyte & Mackay and a second promotional tour with Johnnie Walker.
