After presenting the much admired “Live & Kicking”, Zoe Ball in 1999 became the first woman to front the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show alone. Zoe presented Radio 2’s ‘The Definitive History of UK Dance Music’, and a Saturday morning show with Danny Baker. She is regularly heard sitting in for Ken Bruce and Dermot O’Leary on their Radio 2 programmes

Beginnings

The daughter of children’s TV presenter Johnny Ball, Zoe Ball was educated at a convent school in Buckinghamshire. She began her television career as a runner at Granada Television and researcher on BSkyB. Getting her break as a presenter of the well respected Saturday morning show “Live & Kicking.” After ‘Live & Kicking’ Zoe continued her onscreen partnership with Jamie Theakston for four successful series of “The Priory” (Ginger Prods for Channel 4.)

Presenter

Between 1996 and 1998 Zoe was a regular presenter on Top of the Pops. Often alternating with fellow presenters  DJs Jayne Middlemiss and Jo Whiley. She co-hosted the 2002 BRIT Awards with Frank Skinner.  Zoe returned to radio in mid-2002 when she joined London rock station XFM, where she presented the Weekday Drivetime show. She has been a regular voice on BBC Radio.

Reality show TV presenter & contestant

In 2005, after co-hosting the BBC reality show ‘‘Strictly Dance Fever”, Zoe tripped the light fantastic as a contestant on BBC1’s “Strictly Come Dancing” and embarked on a celebrity nationwide tour in 2008. She replaced Claudia Winkleman as the presenter of Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two’ as well a guest presenting the main show.

On ITV1, Zoe co-hosted the wildlife series “Extinct” with Trevor MacDonald, presented the second series of “Soapstar Superstar” for the same channel and went onto present ITV1’s nationwide search for a ‘Sandy’ and ‘Danny’ in “Grease Is The Word”. Zoe completed filming the 8 part series Britain’s Best Brain alongside Jamie Theakston which was aired on Channel 5.

Film interviews

An avid film buff, Zoe interviewed all the top stars for BAFTA’s Red Carpet and presents SKY’s exclusive coverage of the OSCARs. She is currently recording Zoe Ball on Saturday & Sunday for ITV1, which airs at 8:30am every weekend. Accompanied by the show, she’s just launched her brand new Book Club in association with Specsavers. Zoe continues to host her Saturday morning breakfast show on Radio 2.

Corporate events & award hosting

Zoe Ball needs very little introduction. Having the likes of Zoe host awards or make a personal appearance at any event would certain have the effect of adding prestige and glamour to your occasion.
