Television presenter Julia Bradbury first appeared on our screens in 1996 as the LA Correspondent for GMTV, since then she has worked on a wide range of programmes from Channel 5’s “Exclusive” through to ‘Countryfile’,“Top Gear”, ‘Watchdog’ “The National Lottery” and “Castaway” for the BBC. She was also been a regular contributor on “Wish You Were Here?” for ITV.
Motor Sports
As the host of “Speedway Grandprix” and “Honda Powerboats” for Channel 4; she has been able to travel the world and exercise her ‘action girl’ persona. She has also presented “Carlton Country” on Carlton Network, was the Co-host on Radio 2’s live programme, “Steve Wright In The Afternoon”. That year also saw her host “Moral Dilemmas” on The Living Channel; “Backstage” on BBC Choice and “The Real Car Show” on ITV. Julia has presented “Superbikes” for British Eurosport, ‘Days Of Thunder’ and “Powerboats” for Channel 4′ and “Sky Movies Tonight” and “Empire Awards” for Sky Movies.
Where It Began
Julia Bradbury was born in Dublin to a Greek mother and a Derbyshire born father. The family moved back to the UK in the early 70’s and settled in Rutland (the smallest county in Britain). Business interests of both parents also took them to Sheffield where Julia went to school.
Julia Bradbury: Mermaid
She took part in the Crucible Theatre’s stage production of Peter Pan, starring Joanne Whalley and Paula Wilcox; where she donned a fishtail and got afternoons off school playing a mermaid. Julia’s first professional engagement. After leaving school she moved to London to live with Gina; and after a short spell of working in the family fashion business, she followed her dream of working in television.
Julia Bradbury: Speaker
Julia’s corporate presenting experience includes work for Sony UK; which required her to travel to Cancun, Malta, Tenerife and Marbella. In House Corporate videos for Vodaphone and Norwich Union and a host to numerous Corporate Awards Ceremonies.
