Alexander Armstrong is known as an English comedian, actor, TV host and guest speaker. Best known as one half of the comedy duo ‘Armstrong & Miller’ along side Ben Miller, and as host of the BBC game show ‘Pointless’.

His other TV credits include parts in various series; he also voiced Professor M in ‘Tooned’ and alien super computer Mr Smith; in the Doctor Who spin off ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’.
Cambridge Scholar
Alexander was educated at Cambridge, and was part of The Footlights shows. It was after graduating (1992), he met Ben Miller in London and they performed sketches together. In 1996, Armstrong and Miller played at the Edinburgh Fringe, and they were nominated for the Perrier Award.
Armstrong & Miller
Armstrong and Miller co starred in four series of their TV show, from 1997 to 2001. The duo took a break and split for several years, to forge their own solo careers. He renewed his partnership with Ben Miller, for the BAFTA award winning BBC’s The Armstrong and Miller Show in 2007, which ran for three series.
Alexander Armstrong: Actor
Alexander has also had many straight acting roles, including: Love Life, Life Begins, Mutual Friends and most recently Hunderby. He has hosted popular quiz show ‘Pointless’ as well as; ‘Alexander Armstrong’s Big Ask’, ‘Epic Win’ and frequently hosting ‘Have I Got News For You’.
