Alan Wright: Broadcaster

His broadcasting highlights included acting as royal commentator for BBC TV when Her Majesty the Queen and HRH the Duke of Edinburgh opened the Millennium Bridge. Alan Wright also served as a founder member of the Advisory Committee for England for Ofcom, the broadcasting and telecoms regulator.

Cricket

He was CEO at Durham County Cricket Club in the Nineties, and the cricket connection continues with Alan serving as Chairman of Membership & Regions for Lord’s Taverners, a cricket and entertainment based charity which raises huge sums for disadvantaged young people.

Author

Alan Wright’s debut novel, Rags and Reminders, was published at the end of 2017 and has been very well received. The back-cover blurb from Chris Tarrant includes –
