Paul Boardman Guest Speaker

Paul Boardman was recently asked to be top table speaker; at the prestigious ‘Annual Variety Club Stag Dinner’ at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, hosted by Jimmy Tarbuck; and he was very well received indeed. Paul has played all the major arenas in every major city in the UK, as part of the Michael Buble Tour. Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham, Cardiff including a storming show at Manchester’s MEN arena in front of over 6,000 people. The tour also took in a 3 night run at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, to great success.

Entertaining The Troops

Paul is versatile and can adapt to all audiences. His favourite experience to date was working to US and British troops; in war torn Bosnia, as part of a 10 date comedy tour. Paul was a former pro footballer too, having been signed by Peter Shilton for Plymouth Argyle, scoring on his league debut.

Friday Night Live

Paul Boardman has plenty of TV experience performing on ‘Friday Night Live’ and also working as a freelance presenter; on Sky Sports for 8 years. He hosted ‘Goals on Sunday’ with Chris Kamara for an entire season, and also ‘Football First’; Sky Sports’ Saturday night equivalent of ‘Match of the Day’.

Paul Boardman has been a presenter on Sky Sports News and also a comedian. Which is the most curious mix of jobs I’ve encountered; since a man in my local pub told me he was not only a bus driver but also a shepherd. He is screamingly funny, in fact dangerously so; his routine gave me asthma and I am not an asthmatic. Along the top table from Paul, the Ipswich Chairman, David Sheepshanks, roared with laughter.
