Jed Stone is a well known host & compere on the corporate events circuit, as well as being a highly entertaining after dinner speaker. He started out fronting top comedy show band Scholar, as guitarist and vocalist, the band were very popular in UK. Learning their craft the hard way; starting by playing the then notorious Northern club and progressing to touring Britain and eventually all over Europe. They released the single ‘Bambino’ which failed to reach the charts, only by about 1 million copies!
Entertaining Troops
The band however made many successful tours; of Germany for Her Majesty’s Forces and of Europe for the US Airforce and had a fantastic time. When they finally went their separate ways Jed moved into comedy. At first as a comedy guitar and vocalist, in the same hard Working Men’s Clubs; and eventually becoming a stand up comic in his own right.
Jed Stone Comedian
He has survived to tell the tale and he reckons that the grounding has made him now into; one the funniest and most respected comedians in Great Britain. Jed is a comedy buff and a bit of a football anorak. He has a collection of comedy from some of the greats of stand up, old stuff is still the best. He and his wife Jackie raise money for The National Autistic Society; through various events which included Jed competing in The Great North Run, he also raised money for Cerebal Palsy Sports.

Jed Stone After Dinner
Jed recently performed at The Savoy Hotel, London; at the legendary British Boxing Writers Dinner, for Chairman Jim Rosenthal. This is Jed’s second time and nobody else has been asked to do this for the past 40 years. Jed has a unique approach to being an After Dinner Speaker, he is hilarious, very visual, very watchable and his enthusiasm is boundless. He is ideal for mixed dinners and luncheons for guests of all ages. As well as doing his comedy speech, Jed can if required, compere the entire evening; including comedy auctions, the all important fundraising, raffles, Heads & Tails and Irish Bingo; or you could try his funny Impossible Quiz.

Jed has been privileged to help raise thousands and thousands of pounds performing at fund raising functions and golf days. For some of Britain’s biggest and smallest charities; as well as sporting organisations large and small such as your local cricket, rugby, football or even squash clubs.
Help For Heroes
He has been involved with raising nearly £100,000 for Help For Heroes this year alone at various events including the Cignet Help For Heroes Golf Day at Stoke Park Golf Club. Celebrities at the event included Jimmy Tarbuck, Sir Matthew Pinsent, Sir Trevor Brooking, Olympians Denise Lewis, Daley Thompson and Kriss Akabusi, Mark Bright, Will Greenwood and most of the England Rugby Union team.
