Beginnings

Herbie got his start in comedy at just five years old; entertaining the customers in his mother’s hair salon in Cambridge, England. Creating characters and enchanting the ladies trapped under the dryers.

Career

Herbie has performed his comedy around the world in comedy clubs, theatre, festivals, cruise ships (P&O, MSC, Marella, Princess and Disney) radio/tv (BBC, ITV, SKY) Also a popular live presenter and voice over artiste, he was the chosen voice for The O2 Arena’s 10th birthday celebrations. Other popular venues Herbie has performed include Twickenham Stadium, Ascot, Silverstone and The NEC.

In early 2022 Herbie was honoured to perform for the soon to become Royal Highness The Prince of Wales.

Herbie Adams: Comedian

Since those formative and crucial years, he toured and recorded as a drummer / percussionist; with a diversity of original bands, some have since become household names. But it was during one particular life changing performance; whilst playing with a certain band you may have never heard of… to a belting wave of laughter; he fell off the drum kit.

Full Time Comedy​

Finally becoming a full-time comedian in his twenties, he wrote and performed his first one-man show. Since then, his appearances have taken him around the world and across the UK. In theatre, comedy clubs, universities, cruise ships, casinos, military shows, cabaret venues, pantomimes, touring shows, comedy festivals, music festivals.

Comedy Writing

Herbie has written and performed alongside many of the biggest names in British comedy; and now with a mix of music, surreal characters, sharp one liners and observations, he’s a popular headliner on the comedy circuit. Broadcasts and writing for television and radio include BBC, ITV and SKY.

Musical Comedy

Herbies’ unique crossover of musicianship, surreal characters, one liners, and observational humour; make him one the most sought after Comedians in the UK. He has worked in a number of key comedy environments including; Comedy clubs and many theatres, independent clubs and Venues. As well as performing his own unique family friendly show; for various clients including Disney, Butlins and many other leading entertainment providers.

Corporate Comedy

Also an accomplished corporate performer, awards host and presenter. Recent venues include The O2, The NEC, The Ivy, Soho House, The Corinthia, The Sheridan, Ascot and Twickenham Stadium.

Family Comedy

Herbie also performs ‘family friendly’ comedy. Various clients include Nickelodeon, Butlins & Disney. A seasoned panto performer having notched up many leading comedy roles.

Herbie Adams: Voice Overs

Voice over work includes the worldwide voice for ‘Russel the Brussell’ TUI; and more recently, the voice of The O2 gift box for The O2 Arena’s 10th birthday.
