Curtis Walker started his career as half of the double act Curtis and Ishmael in the early nineties. He went solo in 2000 going on to entertain audiences all over the world.  He has stared on TV as well as appearing in numerous films including the Ashley Walters hit, ‘Bullet Boy’.

Stand-up

Curtis is a stand-up comedian beyond compere, funny is what he does regardless of the environment. In two thousand and eighteen he released his book ‘Curtis Walker Still Here’ an autobiography tracking his life thus far. After performing at the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics in front of sixty-two thousand people, he went on to tour China with sell-out shows in Hong Kong. Curtis has the unique ability to take any subject mater and make it funny, a skill that has kept him well respected by audiences and fellow comics alike. Curtis Walker is without doubt the best thing to come out of Brixton in years.

Television

Curtis’s hugely appealing style and seemingly effortless talent; have ensured him winning over audiences as one of the Country’s leading stand ups and actors. He was a series regular in ‘Rob Brydon’s Annually Retentive’ on BBC3 and  the voice of Carlton in the cult children’s comedy series Kerching! (CBBC). Curtis has performed and contributed to a large number of important  TV shows including; The Real McCoy (BBC), They Think It’s All Over (BBC), Paramount City (BBC), Blouse & Skirt (BBC), Urban Heat, Black Britain (BBC), Glastonbury 2000 (BBC) and Jonathan Ross (Channel 4).

Curtis Walker: Actor

As a very inventive and individual actor, Curtis has racked up a number of appearances. Including: In the Long Run (Sky), Birds of a Feather, Lenny Henry Show, Ed Stone is Dead (BBC) and Maya Angelou’s Moon On A Rainbow Shawl. His work on the released features, Bullet Boy and Now What; fast gained him recognition in the world of film. He also had a small role in Kathy Burke’s The End as well as appearing in the film ‘Mutant Chronicles’.

Corporate: Host & Comedian

Curtis has hosted several awards ceremonies around the UK as well as appearing as a comedy guest for many companies on differing style of functions.

Meeting Mandela

Following a brilliant performance at the Birmingham Symphony Hall; Curtis was introduced to a rhapsodic Nelson Mandela, who wanted to shake his hand twice.

Comedy Writing & Touring

He has toured his acclaimed and skilfully written one man show ‘Right Now’; as well as clocking up a number of stand up gigs at The Comedy Store. He is the recipient of the best male stand Up from BICA, as well as the Top Carlton TV Multicultural Entertainment & Comedy Award. Curtis is also the face behind the NHS Organ Donor Register campaign, to which 10 million people have added their names.

Curtis Walker On Tour

Curtis has taken his talents to the Middle East where he performed to sell out audiences. In the past he has also toured in the US, China, Spain, Jamaica and Holland.
