Ronan Keating is an Irish singer / songwriter, broadcaster, philanthropist and former member of multi platinum selling boy band ‘Boyzone’.
With a career spanning over 25 years, Ronan Keating shot to fame in 1993 as a member of multi platinum award winning boy band ‘Boyzone’ who sold a staggering 25 million records. They hit the UK number one spot an impressive six times, toured the world and helped put Ireland firmly on the musical map. Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2018, the band announced they would split for good following their last world tour ‘Thank you & Goodnight’ which ended in 2019.
Solo Music Career
As a solo star, Ronan has released eight solo albums, four of which went straight to number one. Selling over 20 million records, he is the only artist to have 30 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK charts. He gained worldwide attention when his single “When You Say Nothing at All“ was featured in the film Notting Hill and peaked at number one in several countries.
Alongside his music career, he has been a judge on several TV shows including The X Factor & The Voice Australia. He has also presented high profile awards shows such as the MTV Europe Music Awards, The Royal Variety Performance and the Eurovision Song Contest alongside starring on London’s west end in the hit musical ‘Once’.
Ronan Keating: Charity Work
Keating is actively involved in charity work and has been a charity campaigner for the Marie Keating Foundation, which raises awareness for breast cancer and named after his mother who died from the disease in 1998. Alongside his wife Storm, he is also passionate about sustainability and environmental issues.
Magic FM Presenter
In 2017, Ronan began co-hosting his successful weekday Breakfast Show on Magic FM alongside Harriet Scott, where he continues today. He is due to release a new solo LP later this year and is expecting his second baby with wife Storm.
