Hire Raymond & Mr Timpkins

Drawn together by the irresistible force of showbiz in the mid nineteen eighties; Raymond & Mr Timpkins first chose to show off aboard the Portsmouth based pop band, ‘Uncle Barneys Atomic Wobblers’. Until the natural forces of attrition bore down and the band distilled to the current ruggedly handsome duo.

Cutting their teeth compering and performing in Comedy and Variety nights at The Wedgewood Rooms in Southsea; the nineties wafted gently past until, eventually and not before time, London called.

Guitar & Stylophone

With the fledgling post-fix, “Revue” added, they blasted the clubs with their Guitar and Stylophone stylings; wowing rooms with super slick prop manipulation, dazzling jaded eyes with sandal based choreography that remains inimitable.

Now, they tour the country, regularly headlining at comedy clubs, even venturing as far afield as The Falklands and Oman; to provide spiritual uplift to the brave boys and girls of the armed forces.

Radio Work

Their latest foray is into radio comedy / drama. A 1950s murder mystery based in Brighton and a re-tellling of the Jack the Ripper tale; have so far been forged in the red hot fires of their imaginations.

“Absolutely hilarious” VIZ

“Joyous. Pretty irresistible” CHORTLE

“Knockabout double-act with enough silliness to fill a pillow” THE EVENING STANDARD

“An indulgent set of brilliant tackiness” TAKE 7 MAGAZINE

6 reviews for Raymond & Mr Timpkins

  1. THE PORTSMOUTH NEWS

Their versions of popular hits using just stylophone and acoustic guitar have to be heard to be believed. Someone should give them their own show.

  2. BRIGHTON ARGUS

    Wonderful, innovative and endearing.

  3. TIME OUT

    Spectacularly funny!

  4. The Guardian

A mad, anarchic triumph of stupidity over style. Not to be missed.

  5. Faversham House Group

You will either love them or hate them – my audience loved them. Hilariously funny, very cleverly done and a little bit naughty!

  6. Project Management

They were very good, brilliant in fact. Really nice guys and very well received.
