Sir Jackie Stewart – Legendary Racing Driving, Business and After-Dinner Speaker. Sir Jackie Stewart’s racing career marks him out as one of the most successful Formula One drivers of all time. With 27 race wins from 99 starts and three World Championships, he stands along side the other greats of the sport including Fangio, Senna and Schumacher.
However, it is Jackie’s achievements away from motor racing competition that set him apart from the dozens of internationally recognisable and successful sportspeople of our age.
Inspired by a racing career regularly laced with tragedy, Jackie Stewart has been hugely influential in campaigning for improved safety measures to cars and circuits that protect the drivers and fans of the sport. He is also a rare example of an individual who has moved from the sporting arena to the business world with huge success. This is seen both through Board Memberships and long term relationships with the creation and subsequent sale of Stewart Grand Prix and his current work as a Global Ambassador for the Royal Bank of Scotland, and his continuing commitment to Rolex and Moet & Chandon.
He is retired from the Ford Motor Company, after spending 40 years with them and likewise 15 years with ABC Sports and 17 years with the Goodyear Tyre Company.
Jackie Stewart has received Honorary Doctorates from the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Michigan, and from the Glasgow Caledonian University and the Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh.
His achievements across the sport and the business of motor racing were acknowledged in Britain through an OBE (Officer of the British Empire) in 1972 and a knighthood in 2001 from Her Majesty The Queen.
Sir Jackie Stewart is recognised globally for his contributions to both the racing and business worlds and translates such knowledge with ease from the podium.
Be it a corporate speech for 1,000 people or an after-dinner presentation for 100, Sir Jackie is guaranteed to be a positive addition to your next event. He modifies each speech to fit your theme and audience and can speak on a number of different topics, including:
- The Business of Sport
- Leadership: Driving Your Way to the Top
- Management: From the Cockpit to the Boardroom
