Patrick is a regular MC and headlining act at the top London and UK comedy clubs. He has performed at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival for a number of years at the Gilded Balloon. As well as being an Edinburgh regular he has toured his Theatre solo show in cities such as Glasgow, Leicester and Manchester and major venues throughout the UK. He has been invited to perform all over the world. Including the Adelaide Comedy Festival (2011) in Australia, Dubia, Doha, Abu Dhabi, Barbados, St Lucia, St Vincent, Spain, France, Luxembourg, Estonia, Ireland, Germany and even Royal Albert Hall in London!
Patrick’s TV appearances over the years have included The Comedy Store (Paramount Comedy Channel), That’s So Last Week (Zig/Zag/Five), Mervyn Bragg’s Travels In Written Britain (ITV), Comedy Decades, (BBC), Comedy map Of Britain (BBC), Playing Away (Tyne Tees/ITV Presenter of Travel Series), Most Annoying…(various), (BBC), Sorcerer’s Apprentice (CBBC), Mega Melai (BBC2). He has a wealth of TV studio warm up experience which covers both live and pre-recorded productions. He was resident studio warm up Artiste for a number of seasons on ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ (C4). Patrick was also featured on numerous occasions in the show hosting mock quizzes, modelling false bums and finally as a guest on the sofa! His other shows include ‘Friday Night Jonathan Ross’, ‘The IT Crowd’, ‘The Lenny Henry Show’, ‘Davina’, ‘Open House with Gloria Hunniford’.
Due to his extremely clean and highly accessible material Patrick has developed a solid footing on the Corporate Circuit as an After Dinner speaker as well as an Awards Host. His humour travels well. He not only engages the audience with charming banter about local affairs and universal issues, but also combines animated story telling style that draws on his own experiences of growing up in Teesside, (North East of England) of Irish and Iranian Parentage! Matthew Willetts MA is the Director of Comicus who has over 35 years experience in television, film, theatre, and comedy club/cabaret entertainment, working as a performer, screenwriter, producer and agent. He lectured at Southampton Solent University in Comedy, Screenwriting, Television, Theatre & Radio. Matthew can sometimes be seen and heard on TV & Radio and often quoted in the national press and media publications. As well as speaking regularly at festivals and industry conferences, he has been a judge at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Montreux Television Festival.
