John Young is best known as a TV News broadcaster in the South East — reporting and presenting the news for Kent, Sussex and Surrey.  He was chosen as the launch presenter of the Late News when BBC South East was created in September 2001, and has been on air with them ever since.

John now also runs his own business — John Young Media — helping companies boost resilience and managing sudden change with his adrenaline filled Newsroom Bootcamp workshops.

His lively keynote talk, Seven Tales from the TV Newsroom is ideal for an audience wanting to watch video clips and hear the stories behind them, rather than simply sit and listen.  Speaking on his own behalf, rather than representing the BBC, John will share (amongst other things) what he believes reporting on Princess Diana’s funeral, meeting Lewis Hamilton and interviewing the Home Secretary can teach us all about authenticity, ambition and resilience in business.  His talk can be adjusted in length to suit the client’s requirements — and even include a short quiz, to test guests’ knowledge of news opening title sequences!

You’d done your homework on a complex issue — and that meant you were a great MC.” Oliver Horne, MD Imex Group”

“Inspiring, gregarious, engaging … John commands the room. When hosting an event recently, I could sit back and relax as he got everyone involved in his fascinating TV News decision making game — making people laugh, while being bang on message. I would invite John to MC any event — he’s at the top of his game.” Therese Cole, Consultant Manager, Sussex Business for Schools
