Jeff Stevenson is a unique comedian that feels just as comfortable working the traditional cabaret circuit as modern day comedy clubs. Such is his talent and versatility.
His face is one that you may recognise from his many TV appearances as an actor and as a comic. He appeared on nearly every major 80’s TV stand up show from Live at Her Majesty’s to Des O’Connor Tonight. He hosted three series of his own ( LWT’s Knees Up and two series of the ITV day-time game show Jumble) and he even appeared on two Royal command shows as well as playing the comedian at Rodney Trotters stag night in Only Fools and Horses. He also played the part of Louis in the Alan Parker film Bugsy Malone.
In the 90’s Television changed and Jeff became one of the country’s top TV studio warm-up comics. During this time he also became in great demand for corporate functions, after dinner speaking and product launches where his ability to think on his feet and incorporate topical material in to his act became a great asset. As the Millennium approached, Jeff decided a change in direction was in order. He found the comedy club circuit the best vehicle for his new style of humour. The result of this change in direction meant that he could go out on stage and speak his mind, talk about real life rather than just telling jokes. He is now seen all over the UK appearing regularly at Jongleurs, Up The Creek, The Glee Clubs,The Bearcat, The Banana, and many more. He is very at home on the comedy circuit and due to his vast experience in all areas of stand-up comedy, he now has the ability to play the comedy circuit, corporate gigs and can even be found entertaining American passengers on the QE2 and other ships throughout the year.Jeff is proud to have been asked by many of today’s leading cruise lines to appear on maiden voyages on ships such as the Cunard flag ship QM2, Royal Caribbean’s Independence of The Seas, P&O’s Ventura and this year he has been making regular appearances on Celebrity’s Eclipse during it’s maiden season.
“I would like to make a special mention of our compere Jeff Stevenson who without doubt played a very major part in bringing the whole event together, with superb energy and humour-he went down a storm.”JJ McCarthy Chief Executive, T and S Stores PLC.
Jeff loves to work the room and share banter with members of the audience without ever offending them.. He will always adapt his material to suit the requirements of the client. Jeff has always enjoyed the reputation of being a clean comedian when it comes to corporate engagements. His material is up to date and consists of observational comedy and punchy one liners as well as plenty of off the cuff ad-libbing.
MC / AUCTIONEER
Jeff is also a very capable MC and will ensure that any award ceremony moves along at a pace that will ensure the audience never lose interest. Jeff’s many years of experience as one of the UK’s top TV warm-up comics can help a corporate evening start off in style with the room in the right mood. Jeff has been asked on many occasions to warm up a room full of delegates before the managing director takes the stage to make a speech in precisely the same way he would warm up a TV studio audience. This has proved extremely effective especially if it’s early morning and the delegates are still half asleep! Jeff is regularly asked to run fund raising auctions and the results prove that booking a comedian to run the auction really works well. We all know how an auction can drag on and on but not with Jeff in charge, as he will make the auction not only quicker but will also be very entertaining.

“I felt I had to drop you a line to thank you for all you did on board the ship. It is so refreshing to find a comedian who not only has the ability to use up to date material but manages to ‘keep it clean’ as well.” Roger Lee, Olsen Cruises
