Flight of the Conchords is a folk, pop, and comedy duo; composed of Bret McKenzie, of The Video Kid fame, and Jemaine Clement, of The Humourbeasts.

Billing themselves as “Formerly New Zealand’s fourth most popular guitar based, digi-bongo, acapella, rap, funk, comedy, folk duo”; having been bumped by a tribute band of themselves, Like of the Conchords. The group uses a combination of witty banter, characterisation and acoustic guitars to work the audience.
Flight of the Conchords Radio To TV
The duo’s comedy and music became first the basis of a BBC radio series and then an American TV series; which premiered in 2007, also called Flight of the Conchords.
Named Best Alternative Comedy Act at the 2005 US Comedy Arts Festival; Best Newcomer at the Melbourne Comedy Festival; and receiving a nomination for the Perrier Comedy Award at the Ed Fringe in 2003; the duo’s live performances have gained them a world wide cult following.
Bret McKenzie and Jermaine Clement have performed at venues all over the UK and worldwide; receiving immense critical acclaim. Matthew Willetts MA is the Director of Comicus who has over 35 years experience in television, film, theatre, and comedy club/cabaret entertainment, working as a performer, screenwriter, producer and agent. He lectured at Southampton Solent University in Comedy, Screenwriting, Television, Theatre & Radio. Matthew can sometimes be seen and heard on TV & Radio and often quoted in the national press and media publications. As well as speaking regularly at festivals and industry conferences, he has been a judge at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Montreux Television Festival.
