Science Communicator & Magician

Dr Matt Pritchard is a creative communicator who loves to play, provoke and make people laugh. He aims both to inform and inspire during his talks. Currently he splits his time between science teaching and working as a professional magician – quite often combining the two in his stage shows. He has a PhD in experimental atomic physics from Durham University and is an Associate of the Inner Magic Circle. He’s comfortable and experienced working with diverse audiences, whether that is students, university academics or at corporate events.

Testimonials:

“It takes an excellent presenter like you with a great topic to keep 900 GCSE students interested in a maths talk. Thank you for a great session.”
The Training Partnership

“An excellent show that engaged 180 students for a full hour! The ‘How Science Works’ show really showed students how science and magic are related and gave them an interesting insight into the work of different scientists. I would highly recommend this show and Matt was really good with the students and flexible with last minute requests.”
The Holy Family Technology College, Walthamstow

“The funniest and most imaginative use of PowerPoint I’ve ever seen.”
