Award winning stand up comedian Alun Cochrane has appeared on numerous TV shows including: Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Russell Howard’s Good News, Mock The Week, Dave’s One Night Stand, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Have I Got News For You and 8 Out Of 10 Cats.
Alun was featured as series regular ‘Sam’ in the Sky Living sitcom Trying Again, besides Chris Addison. He has appeared in Coronation Street, Boomers and Russell Howard’s Christmas film A Gert Lush Christmas.
Managing to be dour and upbeat at the same time, Alun shares his views on tech, air fresheners, family and the etiquette of sharing a packet of crisps. A popular live performer he’s also the co host of Absolute Radio’s hit The Frank Skinner Show.
As a headline act or compere, Alun Cochrane mixes friendly story telling with sharp one liners and off the cuff wit. Versatile and wonderfully quick thinking, he combines irresistibly silly routines with honest, straight forward gags.
Alun is topical, vulnerable and sometimes just a little rude. Whether discussing family life and mortgages; or recounting his own cringe worthy confessions. It feels like stand up at its least formulaic and most amusing.
Described by one critic as “attractively dour”, Alun Cochrane is a seasoned guest on: Mock the Week, Have I Got News, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Just a Minute. He even appeared in Coronation Street. Alun is a co-presenter on the Absolute Radio hit show and podcast The Frank Skinner Show, he has also been seen on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and John Bishop’s Britain.
Alun Cochrane has performed live all over the world from New York to Hong Kong, via Belgium. He is also an Edinburgh Fringe regular and a Perrier award nominee. Alun is a master at observational comedy, besides an expert in story telling; and uniquely able to gather material from anywhere he wanders in mind or body.
